"Drifting" is a group show which exhibits the works of young Chinese artists. Living in cities, far from their home towns, they struggle to find a balance between life and their art. Caught up in the struggle to create new way of being in these often alien environments their focus is on survival.

As the founder of one of the most influential artist groups the Big Elephant Tail group in Guangzhou from the 1990s in China , Lin Yilin (born 1964) is a performance/installation artist currently based in Guangzhou and New York .
